著者略歴

著：Kyuzo Mifune
In 1945 (Showa 20), he was awarded the highest rank of Judo, 10th dan, at Kodokan and received the title of master. He put into practice the theories of Jigoro Kano, the founder of judo, and was also referred to as the god of judo. In his hometown of Kuji City, Iwate Prefecture, there is a museum commemorating his 10th dan, the Mifune Judan Memorial Museum. He lived from 1883 (Meiji 16) to 1965 (Showa 40).
